Julie’s History
Dining in Little Rock changed in 1979 when Julie’s opened its doors to an eager clientele looking for great food and great service.
At that time, Julies Place, as it was known, was one of 80 restaurants, bars and hotels owned and operated by Associated Hosts, Inc. Julie, the restaurant’s namesake, was actually the CEO’s wife. Overall, there were five Julie’s Places built in her honor.
An instant hit, Little Rock diners took to Julie’s Place and when accomplished chef Mike Griffiths purchased the restaurant in 1997, he renamed the culinary hotspot Julies Restaurant & Bar and his obvious dedication to his clientele made Julie’s popularity soar even higher.
Known as one of the best seafood and steakhouses in Little Rock, Julie’s Restaurant & Bar boasts a notable menu and casual elegant dining atmosphere that has kept customers coming back since it first opened its doors, but in record numbers since being taken over by Griffiths, and his dedicated wife, Sarah.
Just ask around and here’s what you’ll learn: the two have worked tirelessly to provide guests with an exceptional experience, paired with one-to-one customer care - all delivered in an atmosphere that is friendly and comfortable for everyone.
No longer a corporate restaurant, Julie’s Restaurant & Bar is where patrons go for expertly prepared fresh cuisine and to enjoy a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere, while being cared for like family, because that’s exactly what Mike and Sarah consider each and every guest to be.
This family-feeling can even be felt in the bar, where colleagues and friends come from all over Little Rock to meet and to enjoy good times, great food and of course, favorite cocktails - all in a relaxed setting with four big screen TV’s that just can’t be beat!
We look forward to seeing you.
